10 years after he wrecked their one-day side in a World Cup fixture that lasts long in the memory, Tim Southee could be poised to join England's coaching set-up

Southee, who retired from international cricket last December, is being linked by the BBC with a fast bowling coaching role ahead of a busy home test season for England.

The role is usually held by England great James Anderson's but he's focusing on his county commitments this year with Lancashire.

Southee would become the third New Zealand on England's staff, under Brendon McCullum who now coaches all three formats and spin coach Jeetan Patel.

England have a home test against Zimbabwe next month, before five tests against India from June.
