    Super Rugby boss Jack Mesley is bullocking past any criticism of the competition's latest law trials


    Former French test referee Mathieu Raynal has accused the competition of trying to reduce mauls and scrums.

    Mesley says their motives are misunderstood.



    The Springboks' rules advisor, former referee Jaco Peyper , says introducing free-kicks for failing to clear quickly from rucks will slow the game by handing over possession.
