Tom Walsh is keeping a duel for national bragging rights in perspective ahead of a big month in the shot put circle

Tom Walsh is keeping a duel for national bragging rights in perspective ahead of a big month in the shot put circle

He'll renew his rivalry with Jacko Gill in Dunedin this afternoon at the track and field national championships.

Gill has won the last two editions.

Walsh admits denying the 30 year old a three-peat isn't his main target.

The men's shot put get underway at 5.20pm.
