    A Super Rugby referee clanger in round one


    A statement from Super Rugby Pacific management says the decision to award a try to Chiefs lock Tupou Vaa'i in the win over the Blues was incorrect.

    Vaa'i dived into the in goal over defenders that were going low to tackle him close to the line and scored the Chiefs' first try.

    A review has deemed Vaa'i's actions constituted leaving the ground to avoid a tackle and should not have been awarded.

    The Chiefs won 19-15.
