The All Whites have briefly threatened an upset of the world's 25th-ranked men's football side - before falling to a 2-1 to Ukraine in Toronto

All three goals of the Canadian Shield match came in the second half - 86th ranked New Zealand equalising in the 59th minute to make it 1-all going into the final phase of the fixture.

Ukraine eventually found a winner in the 75th minute - seeing the All Whites complete the tournament with a one win-one loss record.

The team's next confirmed fixture is against Norway at Oslo in October.
