There's a battle brewing in Australia's A-League football, after Western United were stripped of their licence over financial issues

The Western Melbourne club are defiant and have vowed to fight the ruling ... which leaves players and staff in limbo - and comes just three years after United's first championship.

If their appeal fails, both the men's and women's A-League competitions are set to be a team down for their upcoming seasons.
