Chris Wood admits a personal milestone is a motivating factor as the new season gets set to kick off in football's Premier League

The All Whites captain's 20-goals for Nottingham Forest during their 2024-25 campaign took him to 89 career EPL goals - 42nd on the all-time list and past such names as former Chelsea star Didier Drogba and Dutch legend Dennis Bergkamp.

Ahead of Forest's season opener on Monday morning - at home against Brentford - Wood's been asked about potentially joining a group of just 33 players to notch a century in the English top flight.

The Premier League season starts on Saturday morning - with defending champs Liverpool hosting Bournemouth at Anfield.
