Atomic Kitten star Liz McClarnon-Cho is pregnant - after "years" of "painful" IVF

The 44-year-old singer took to Instagram to excitedly tell her fans she is expecting her first child with husband Peter Cho - who she married in June 2023 - but Liz also admitted she had previously been on a break from social media because it was "hard to smile" amid her IVF journey

She wrote: "I've been keeping a secret from you, and I've mostly kept myself off social media because sometimes it was hard to smile.

"But after years of sometimes quite painful IVF and dark times, I'm pregnant!

"We feel like we've been given the world."

Liz also told how she was planning to make a pregnancy announcement via video, but she became "too emotional".

Instead, she shared a clip of herself sitting on a park bench with her back to the camera, before standing up to reveal her baby bump.

She added: "I started to record a video of me just telling you but I got too emotional so I thought I'd just hide behind this little announcement instead

    I just can't believe we're here.

So many have been through exactly what I went through and worse. I want to share what I can and add my voice and ears to those who already help others understand or deal with all that comes with ivf and loss after so much hope.

I've been a part of some beautifully supportive communities. I'm so grateful.

    I am so grateful! (sic)"

Liz's Atomic Kitten bandmate Natasha Hamilton was among the first people to congratulate the star on her pregnancy news.

She commented: "Literally couldn't be any happier for you both! After all you've been through, this little miracle is everything"

Liz's fellow bandmate Jenny Frost, who replaced Kerry Katona in the band, is "beyond" happy for Liz and Peter.

She wrote: "The best news ever .... You have been through it girl but never lost faith in what you knew was meant to be. Beyond happy for you both (sic)"

Liberty X singer Jessica Pietersen - who is married to former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen - also congratulated Liz.

She posted: "Oh my goddddd!!! Babe!!! So so so happy for you, this is just the most beautiful news (sic)"

S Club's Jo O'Meara wrote: "Awwww this is so lovely ! Congratulations darling (sic)"
