The Government's not ruling out cuts to its annual 521-dollar a year KiwiSaver contribution

The Government's not ruling out cuts to its annual 521-dollar a year KiwiSaver contribution

Finance Minister Nicola Willis says she's found billions in savings that'll be redeployed to new spending in the 2025 Budget.

She's ruled out changes to the Winter Energy Payment and the Emissions Trading Scheme.

But Willis is refusing to rule out changing the annual KiwiSaver contribution or a nearly four-thousand dollar a year best start payments for new parents.

It follows the Treasury Secretary suggesting greater targeting of payments, to improve the Government's finances.
