NZME is reporting an almost 12-percent rise in half-year earnings

The media company -- which owns Newstalk ZB and the Herald -- is reporting growth across audio, podcasts, subscriptions, and the One Roof property website.

The company's operating net profit after tax is up 22-percent.

BusinessDesk's Garth Bray says operating revenue is down three-percent.

He says there is a net loss after tax of 400-thousand dollars related to restructuring and a protracted board process.
