    A Black Power member is in Papakura District Court after allegedly fleeing from police while under the influence of alcohol in South Auckland last night


    Police say a 36-year-old man sped past a patrol unit in Papakura and failed to stop when signalled.

    Counties Manukau South Area Prevention Manager, Inspector Matt Hoyes, says he headed North on the motorway before stopping and being arrested just after the Puhinui Road on-ramp.

    He's charged with dangerous and drunk driving, resisting police and possessing an offensive weapon and resisting police.
