Protests are planned across the country today, against the Government's pay equity changes

Protests are planned across the country today, against the Government's pay equity changes

The Bill, halting pay equity claims and raising the threshold to lodge a claim based on gender discrimination, passed this week under urgency.

Ministers are standing by the changes, and don't appear concerned about the demonstrations.

They say people can protest as long as it's safe, and say the Government's comfortable with what it's doing.
