    Global success for dairy, beef and cocoa are continuing to cause New Zealanders' pressure at the checkout


    Stats NZ data shows annual food prices rose 3.7 percent in April, while Foodstuff co-ops recorded a 2.4 increase for their comparable basket of products.

    Foodstuffs NZ Managing Director Chris Quin says their latest survey found most shoppers understand higher supplier costs are having an impact.

    He says none of that makes it easier when meeting budgets, so that's why they're working hard to keep their increases low.
