The Asthma and Respiratory Foundation says changes to asthma inhaler access - is a major step forward

The Asthma and Respiratory Foundation says changes to asthma inhaler access - is a major step forward

Pharmac's announced today, people using 2-in-1 inhalers can pick up a three-month supply in one hit, instead of one - from August.

Foundation Medical Director, Professor Bob Hancox, says he has some concerns, - around reduced contact with pharmacies potentially meaning fewer checkups.

But he says for the most part, getting inhalers more readily is a good thing - and will make it much easier for people to get treatment.
