Ray Romano is returning for a second Everybody Loves Raymond reunion special

The 67-year-old actor - who recently got back together with co-stars Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett, Monica Horan, and Madilyn and Sullivan Sweeten for CBS' Everybody Loves Raymond: 30th Anniversary Reunion - will be back for another hour-long special on December 22, looking back at the classic sitcom.

Ray and the show's creator Phil Rosenthal will once again host the special, with new wraparounds shot for the follow-up reflecting on the reunion.

The show will feature never before seen footage filmed in front of the live audience on a recreated version of the sitcom's living room set.

Classic clips and outtakes not seen in the special will also be included this time, along with pre-taped interviews with guest stars, producers and writers.

Last month, Ray admitted to The Hollywood Reporter that he wished some things hadn't been lost to the cut for the reunion special.

He said: "Some of the compilations we had to cut down, the gag reel had to be cut down.

"My wife [Anna] did a half-hour interview, and they showed her for three seconds.

"My father and [Raymond creator] Phil [Rosenthal]'s father did guest spots together a few times, and they weren't actors but they were always hysterical.

"We showed that during the live taping but had to cut it down. But you also don't want to go too long. We could have used another 10 minutes."

Ray's dad Albert passed away in 2010, while Phil's father Max died in 2021.

Ray had told Deadline that he and Phil were trying to get an expanded version of the reunion to stream on Paramount+.

He said: "It's a 90-minute special, which is only 66 minutes [without commercials].

"We were out there for almost two and a half hours, three hours, maybe. And not only that, but all the [pre-taped] interviews with the writers and the guest stars."
