New Zealand's lagging behind Australia when it comes to supporting those living with endometriosis

New Zealand's lagging behind Australia when it comes to supporting those living with endometriosis

An estimated 120 thousand Kiwis have the condition - but diagnosis can often take years and treatment varies across the country.

New Endometriosis New Zealand research reveals many would like to see more education, a better diagnosis system and improved management of the condition moving forward.

Chief Executive Tanya Cooke says Australia's invested in an endometriosis action plan - covering research, community education and care.

She says Endometriosis New Zealand truly believes we need to follow suit.
