Auckland Police are working out a victim's movements, before he was fatally assaulted at an Auckland bus stop, on Saturday night

Auckland Police are working out a victim's movements, before he was fatally assaulted at an Auckland bus stop, on Saturday night

33-year old Kyle Whorrall died with serious head injuries on Meadowbank's St Johns Road.

Police are hunting at least two offenders - urgently asking for witnesses, and information on a black SUV in the area, about 9.50pm.

Detective Inspector Glenn Baldwin says the US PHD entomology student didn't flag down a bus, so was maybe sheltering or at the stop for another reason.

He says he bought grocery items at a nearby store then walked 400 metres to the bus stop.
