    A Christchurch murder victim's daughter says her mother's killer misquoted her in court


    Elliot Cameron's been sent to jail for life - after admitting murdering 83-year-old gardening client, Frances Phelps - known as Faye - at her Mount Pleasant home in October.

    Cameron had been living at Hillmorton Hospital since 2016 - despite there being no legal requirement.

    During sentencing, Cameron referred to Phelps' daughter, Karen, claiming she'd called his actions "out of character".

    Karen Phelps says she never said that and quoting and naming her in court is a kick in the teeth.
