Lukas Gage vows to keep his next relationship a "little more quiet"

The 30-year-old actor married 42-year-old hairstylist Chris Appleton in April 2023 after seven months of dating, and the former couple's wedding was officiated by 44-year-old media personality Kim Kardashian and aired on her reality show The Kardashians

And Lukas now thinks his love life should not be an "exhibition for the world".

The White Lotus star added to UsWeekly: "I think some things should be kept for you and be a little more personal.

"And yeah, I just think there's some things [that] should be sacred, and that's OK that I wasn't - I was very in people's faces in my last relationship.

"Maybe for the next one, we'll just keep it a little more quiet."

Gage - who recalls his short-lived marriage to Chris in his new memoir I Wrote This for Attention - also admitted he has no regrets about making a lot of his private life public.

The Road House actor - who will "keep it more low-key on the second marriage" - explained: "You have to [laugh].

"I think that's a coping mechanism. And also, like, some crazy s*** happens, but it's also not that crazy - it's universal.

"Like, people can connect with some of this dark stuff that has happened to me. And I think, you know, I made light of it."

Gage continued: "I always have humility with all things in my life, but, in reality, like that moment, there was, you know, there was a trial and error with medications that I was on and being misdiagnosed.

"What comes with that, sometimes, is a manic, hyper mania going on. And yeah, it was a very impulsive, crazy time.

"But suddenly, when I put things into perspective and I got on the right dosage, and I, you know, got my mind clear, it just made sense that I made some of the decisions that I made, and they weren't great, but, like I said earlier - no regrets, because maybe I wouldn't have figured it out."

Gage recently said he has "no regrets" about marrying Chris, and he learnt a lot from their marriage.

Appearing on a recent episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, host Amanda Hirsch asked Lukas: "Do you sometimes wish that you hadn't..."

He chimed in: "Gotten married on The Kardashians? Yeah, but no regrets. Hashtag no regrets for real.

"Look, I learned so much about it."
