It's been a low-key build-up to the new A-League football season for the Wellington Phoenix

It's been a low-key build-up to the new A-League football season for the Wellington Phoenix

Last year's semifinalists have been overshadowed on this side of the Tasman by the arrival of new Kiwi team Auckland FC.

But spirits are high in the capital camp... Phoenix coach Giancarlo Italiano says their environment's very positive.

Giancarlo Italiano says he won't watch tomorrow's debut game for Auckland FC, at home to the Brisbane Roar... the coach says he'll be swotting up for his side's season opener on Sunday, against Western United in Wellington.
