    The Government's new construction reforms is expected to significantly reduce the cost to build homes


    They've given the green-light for thousands of overseas products to be used in construction projects here.

    It's including plasterboard, cladding systems, external doors and windows.

    Building and Construction Minister Chris Penk says that will impact a quarter of expenses for building houses.

    He says that could save up to hundreds of thousands.
