Hopes local firms will be able to be more competitive with changes to dairy export regulations

Hopes local firms will be able to be more competitive with changes to dairy export regulations

The government's announced its removing the requirement for dairy exporters to obtain gazetted exemptions from domestic compositional standards when selling infant formula.

The Dairy Goat Cooperative says it could speed up production by six months.

Chief Executive Alastair Hulbert says that will make an impact on the global stage.

He says New Zealand has tough challengers in the UK, Europe and China and this will help us compete.
