More than 2100 people have reported being rattled by a magnitude 4.7 earthquake in the lower North Island, about quarter past 7

The quake hit just south-west of Pongaroa, between Masterton and Dannevirke, at a depth of 18-kilometres.
Most say they felt weak shaking.
