Area school teachers are heading back into pay talks - due to a disagreement between unions

The PPTA's returning to the bargaining table for a new collective agreement, despite members voting to accept an offer from the Public Service Commissioner late last year.
President Chris Abercrombie says PPTA members backed the proposal, but primary teachers' union NZEI voted against it.
Both must agree, as it's a joint contract.
The NZEI says the offer isn't good enough - but will work with the PPTA to achieve the best deal possible.
