    RNZ is reporting a former political figure will face jail time for sexually abusing two teens nearly 30 years ago


    The man is not a sitting MP.

    He mentored the boys through a sports club.

    RNZ says the man found guilty of 8 charges on indecent assault, but continues to deny offending.

    He's been sentenced to two-and-a-half years' imprisonment.
