Trade Me's latest Property Report shows the average April asking price was down 0.8 percent on March.

The West Coast had the biggest decrease - down 7.4 percent.

Trade Me Property Director, Gavin Lloyd, says things remain volatile, with affordability and uncertainty still an issue for buyers and sellers.
