Yungblud gifted a custom cross to Ozzy Osbourne before Black Sabbath's farewell concert

The 27-year-old singer featured among the star-studded line-up at Villa Park in Birmingham on Saturday (05.07.25), and Yungblud marked the occasion by handing a gift to Ozzy, 76

Speaking about the special moment backstage, Yungblud explained: "Back in 2022 on the video shoot for The Funeral, Ozzy gave me his gold cross and said 'I hope this brings you luck'. I thought, on this monumental moment for him and Sabbath, it was time for me to return the favour and let him know what he and the band means to me."

Yungblud actually posted a video of himself handing the gift to Ozzy on his Instagram.

He captioned the clip: "my f****** hero [bat emoji] (sic)"

Yungblud - whose real name is Dominic Harrison - previously admitted that he's "found solace in being similar" to Ozzy.

The singer is a long-time fan of the Black Sabbath frontman, and he paid a glowing tribute to Ozzy ahead of the band's farewell gig at Villa Park.

Yungblud told The Independent: "Since I can remember, Ozzy has always been a part of my life.

"I grew up around rock music, and he was a character to me before I even knew anything about him. I remember his hair, I remember his massive mouth, I remember his glasses from when I was three years old.

"If you know me and my family, we're truly f****** loud - they used to call us The Osbournes. So, I kind of found solace in being similar to them.

"Growing up watching The Osbournes and the madness, I was always like that. I was always out there and crazy. To see someone being so loved and accepted with all their madness ... I really found solace in a figure like Ozzy."

Yungblud thinks they're actually very similar, even though they make different kinds of music.

The 11 Minutes hitmaker said: "We're very similar.

"Even though we don't necessarily make the same kind of music, we kind of represent the same thing. Being out there and thinking outside the box is what we're both known for."
