Jennifer Lawrence has revealed her friends call her Boobs, Nitro and Floffin

The 35-year-old star has revealed her friends and family have a whole range of nicknames for her, including one more NSFW moniker, and another that goes back to her childhood.

Speaking to Amy Poehler about nicknames on the Good Hang podcast, she revealed: "Floffin, Nitro, Boobs.

"Boobs Lawrence [laughs]. The full government name."

The Die My Love actress didn't give any more details on the Floffin and Boobs monikers, but Nitro goes back to her siblings.

She added: "My brothers. 'Cause I was really hyper and they called me Nitro."

Jennifer also admitted her friends have another less complimentary nickname for her.

She said: "My friends call me Ken from the Barbie movie, 'cause 'I'm just Ken.'

"I think it's their way of calling me stupid. And so whenever I ask something stupid, they're like, 'She's just Ken.' "

Meanwhile, the Oscar-winning actress previously admitted that she behaved a certain way in interviews as a "defence mechanism", and she can understand why she was "rejected" by some of the public.

She told The New Yorker: "Well, it is, or it was, my genuine personality, but it was also a defence mechanism.

"And so it was a defence mechanism, to just be, like, 'I'm not like that! I poop my pants every day!' ... I look at those interviews, and that person is annoying.

"I get why seeing that person everywhere would be annoying. Ariana Grande's impression of me on SNL was spot-on."

Jennifer thinks she was specifically rejected by members of the public because of her "personality".

She explained: "I felt - I didn't feel, I was, I think - rejected not for my movies, not for my politics, but for me, for my personality."

Jennifer was mocked by Ariana during a 2016 sketch on Saturday Night Live.

The chart-topping star said during an impression of the actress: "I'm just, like, a snackaholic. I mean, I love Pringles. If no one's looking, I'll eat, like, a whole can."
