Heather Small wants to travel more in 2025

The M People singer turns 60 next month and is planning to celebrate her birthday in Zanzibar before heading out "all over" the world in between her working commitments

Discussing her Christmas plans, she told Britain's HELLO! Magazine "I'm going to be in Ghana. I like to travel.

"I'll be 60 next year and I'll be up in Zanzibar.

"I'm going to go all over - places I haven't been before and places I like to revisit, like Thailand.

"I'll still be singing but giving myself some time to enjoy travel a bit more. I love it."

The 'Proud' hitmaker does her best to look after her health through diet and exercise.

She said: "I am healthy, I don't drink and don't smoke, but I have a sweet tooth.

"A good vegan chocolate will always get me, with a cup of green tea.

"I'm vegan and I've got a lot of melanin and genetics.

"I used to go to the gym a lot, but with lockdown I bought some weights, a bike and a skipping rope. I do a lot of working out at home."

Over the years, Heather has supported a number of charities, including Breast Cancer Now and the Terrence Higgins Trust and she has always believed it is important to use her position to give back.

She said: "In the nineties when I started being involved with M People, I realized I had a platform and you're known for one thing - but you can shine a light on so many others.

"I just felt like it was more than my duty, it's what I expected of myself - to be able to support people and give them a voice.

"I'm interested in things that really make a difference in society."
