Salil Elias lied to the Medical Council, but admitted having sex when it was proved by DNA testing.
Open Justice reports a judge dismissed criminal charges of sexual violation, because the woman was an unreliable witness.
But Elias's registration was cancelled in 2023 pending proof he could practise safely.
He can now only see female patients with a council-approved chaperone.
His current employer, a South Island health centre, has declined comment.
