    A woman who was told lip filler would improve her gummy smile - needed hospital treatment for damage caused by a blocked blood vessel


    Open Justice reports the cosmetic nurse who did the procedure in October 2020 breached part of the health consumers' code.

    Deputy Health and Disability Commissioner Vanessa Caldwell says the nurse failed to recognise and act on a condition known as vascular occlusion.

    The nurse was recommended to provide a written apology to the client and she's had extra training.
