Consumers are starting to feel more upbeat, although still anxious about inflation

Consumers are starting to feel more upbeat, although still anxious about inflation

The latest ANZ Roy Morgan survey shows consumer confidence rose again this month.

Inflation expectations have also risen sharply.

ANZ Chief Economist Sharon Zollner says many people may expect tariffs to push up prices, but the hit to global growth could actually reduce inflation.

She says Kiwis don't seem too fazed, overall, by recent global market volatility.
