New Zealand beat Ireland in the final - coming out 4-2 winners in a penalty shootout.
The Premier Hockey League made its return late last year - offering seven weeks of competition for Black Sticks and international hopefuls.
Hockey New Zealand's Ken Maplesden says the women have reaped the rewards.
The Black Sticks have earned promotion to the Pro League, but a decision is yet to be made on whether they'll take part.
