Economists are divided on how low the Reserve Bank will go with the Official Cash Rate

Economists are divided on how low the Reserve Bank will go with the Official Cash Rate

The central bank's tipped to keep the cash rate unchanged at 3.25 percent today, but a 25-basis-point cut remains possible.

ANZ's Sharon Zollner reckons the OCR could get as low as 2.5 percent by next year, given the slow economic recovery.

But Westpac's Kelly Eckhold says the OCR may not go any lower than the current 3.25 percent, given ongoing inflationary pressure.
