    Lines crews have been working to restore power to more than 200 homes in theWairarapa.

    State Highway 53 has reopened southeast of Featherston, near Murphys Line, after downed lines closed the road earlier.

    MetService Meteorologist John Law, says conditions are set to linger until about Tuesday.
