Amy Schumer felt as if she was "shrivelling away" while taking weight loss drug Ozempic

The Hollywood funnywoman has admitted using the jabs was a "horrible experience" because they made her so nauseous she struggled to get out of bed - and admitted the 30 pounds she lost wasn't worth it because she felt so terrible

During an appearance on SiriusXM's 'The Howard Stern Show', Amy explained: "I have this gene, GDF15, which makes you extremely prone to nausea, which is why I was so sick during my pregnancy.

"So, I tried Ozempic almost three years ago and I was like bedridden. I was like, vomiting - and then you have no energy. But other people take it and they're all good. So, God bless them."

She added: "[I was] shrivelling away [in bed] ... I lost 30 pounds so quick. I looked great, but I couldn't lift my head off the pillow. So what's the point?"

Amy previously opened up about her experience with the jabs during an appearance on 'Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen' back in 2023, urging other celebrities using the drug to be honest about their experience.

She said: "Everyone has been lying saying, 'Oh smaller portions.' Like shut the f*** up. You are on Ozempic or one of those things or you got work done. Just stop [hiding it] ... Be real with the people. When I got lipo, I said: 'I got lipo' ...

"Like a year ago, I tried it. I was one of those people that felt so sick [while using Ozempic] and couldn't play with my son. I was so skinny, and he's throwing a ball at me, and [I couldn't]. And you're like: 'OK, this isn't liveable for me'."

In 2022, Amy revealed that she decided to get liposuction after she became "tired of looking at [herself] in the mirror".

The actress told The Hollywood Reporter: "It's not about needing to be slamming, because I've never been famous for being hot, but I'd reached a place where I was tired of looking at myself in the mirror."

Amy insisted she doesn't have any regrets about her decision. The comedian - who has been married to chef Chris Fischer since 2018 - also suggested that it's much more common than the public realise.

She said: "Everybody on camera is doing this s***, I just wanted to be real about it."
