    Two people have been charged after Police seized six rifles and 163 rounds of ammunition in rural Cheviot, near Kaikoura


    Police were called after shots were fired within 40 metres of a house in March.

    An 18 and 19-year old have been charged with unlawful firearms and ammunition possession and discharging a firearm near a dwelling.
