Pete Davidson "surprised" Elsie Hewitt by splashing out more than $30,000 on matching watches

The former Saturday Night Live star and his girlfriend attended the grand opening of the Gerald Peters Watch + Jewelry showroom in his native Staten Island, New York, on Friday (27.06.25) and not only did he buy himself a flashy new Rolex timepiece, he then paid for a second one as a gift for Elsie.

Sources told the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column that Pete treated himself to an $18,550 Rolex Datejust 41 in Oystersteel and Everose Gold, and then "surprised" Elsie with the matching petite version of the watch, a Rolex Datejust 31 mm, also in Oystersteel and Everose Gold, which retails at $12,400.

Both watches were designed with 18-carat pink gold alloy, but the King of Staten Island actor's was also fitted with diamond hour markers.

Pete arrived early to the event so he could buy the watches and enjoy a private tour of the showroom.

A source said: "Pete was in an awesome mood, cracking jokes, chatting watches, and taking photos with friends."

Another guest at the event said the 31-year-old comic "couldn't have been sweeter."

They added: "He took pictures with people and he was proud of the store and kept talking about how much he loves supporting Staten Island."

Pete and Elsie went public with their romance in March and in May, the 29-year-old model gushed her boyfriend is the "best person" she's ever met.

She told People magazine: "He is so incredible. Honestly, best person I've ever met, and I'm so grateful ..."

The couple recently attended the Endometriosis Foundation of America's 13th Annual Blossom Ball in New York City together, making their red carpet debut as a couple, and Elsie shared how Pete supports her when she is dealing with her own endometriosis.

She said: "It was just really important to both of us to come here and support the foundation and keep helping, spreading the word and educating people.

"Pete sets me up with a little heating pad, and it's very sweet, and I just eat whatever. I'm like, I will allow myself to eat whatever I want and just snuggle up and watch a movie.

    "Everyone deserves a Pete!"

While the pair have only been together for a few months, it was recently revealed that they are already living together.

An insider told People: "Pete and Elsie have been living together in New York for the past few months. They're splitting their time between Pete's house in upstate New York and a brownstone they recently started renting in Brooklyn.

"They're so happy together and doing great."

Pete's most recent relationship before Elsie was with 'Outer Banks' actress Madelyn Cline eight months ago.

And Elsie was most recently linked to actor Jason Sudeikis. She also previously dated Ryan Phillippe.
