Clothes will be doing the talking at this year's New Zealand Fashion Week, kicking off on Auckland's waterfront today

Big names like Karen Walker, Juliette Hogan and Kiri Nathan will showcase their designs on the runway - to local and global audiences.

A range of emerging talent's also taking part.

New Zealand label Zambesi's Creative Director, Marissa Findlay, says the show will be quite different this year, compared to others.

She says it's all about mood, atmosphere and how they create emotion.
