Rebecca Ferguson can choose to "not work with d********"

The 42-year-old actress likes to "have a good time on set" and Rebecca feels she's can now afford to be choosy about the roles she accepts

The Hollywood star told The Independent: "I'm at a point now where I can choose to not work with d********.

"I like to have a good time on set, and I like it when people treat the team well. I have no interest in someone walking over people, or sitting with signs going 'Don't talk to me', or whatever silly nonsense.

"Everyone has a technique, and I respect people's technique. Some people are introverts, and some people don't want to interact. That's fine - you don't have to. But let's not be idiots about it."

Rebecca thinks a leading actor or actress ought to set the tone on a film set. However, she acknowledged that this approach can also backfire.

She said: "If everyone keeps treating the No 1 as a bloody king or a princess, you're already putting them on a pedestal, rather than seeing all of this as a creative collaboration ... F***! God, I get so annoyed by it."

Rebecca isn't sure where she'll head next in her career, but she's ruled out of the possibility of taking on a comedic role.

Asked if she would like to star in a comedy, Rebecca replied: "No. I don't try to be funny, and I'm not even sure what my humour is. I think my sheer bluntness makes people uncomfortable, and therein lies the humour, maybe?

"I worry that if I actively tried to be funny in something, it wouldn't be funny at all."

Rebecca previously admitted that in spite of her fame and success, she continues to suffer from self-doubts.

The actress told ELLE Canada: "The 40 that we are today is not the 40 that my mom and the generation before her were.

"Yeah, I sometimes feel super stressed and I start wondering what the next chapter will be and [whether] I have done what I want to do."
