Lewis Capaldi has been given a life-sized LEGO model of himself

The Someone You Loved hitmaker had a great time at LEGO's Chalet of Play in London's Covent Garden, where he got to build some new sets and reminisce on his favourite memories of the building toy and he then received the ultimate Christmas present of the brick-built model.

The life-sized Lewis was made from over 41,000 LEGO bricks and took 207 hours to complete.

Lewis admitted he loves LEGO because it helps him quieten his mind.

He said: "Having LEGO around helps take my mind off stuff, I'm so focused on putting it all together that I'm able to put other stuff that's going on to the back of my mind. There's also a nice nostalgia tied into it, it's a lovely feeling."

In an exclusive video series filmed at the Chalet of Play, Lewis also showed off a brick-built model of the artwork for his latest album, Survive.

He noted: "It's quite a calming experience building a LEGO."

However, the 29-year-old star admitted he doesn't always follow the instructions through to the end.

He said: "In all of my years of building LEGO, I don't think I've ever built anything to completion."

Kuran Sharma, Head of Marketing at the LEGO Group commented: "We loved taking Lewis on a trip down memory lane through LEGO sets and hearing about his cherished memories of the LEGO brand.

"The Holiday season is the perfect time to rediscover the joy of play, no matter what age. That's what the LEGO Chalet of Play is all about - spreading joy through building your favourite LEGO sets, or even channeling your creative imagination through free building."

The Chalet of Play is a free-entry festive destination open until 30 November.

Visitors can explore a Christmas market filed with various creative challenges and festive fun.

And they can also follow the Cataclaws Scavenger Hunt to the LEGO Store in Leicester Square to find more magic, interactive zones, and festive building activities.
