The future of the Government's school lunch programme is foggy

The future of the Government's school lunch programme is foggy

Ka Ora Ka Ako is only funded until the end of next year - with no more money given in this Budget.

David Seymour's cut-price scheme received 171 formal complaints to the Ministry of Education in the first month alone.

Principals' Federation President Leanne Otene says nothing was explained yesterday about the future of the programme.

She says that's a concern for the sector - as they want to see the programme centred around investing in our young people, not the cost.
