Skyrocketing insurance costs mean some Kiwis are dropping their cover

A Consumer NZ report finds the cost of house insurance has increased by more than 900-percent since the year 2000.
17-percent of Kiwis are going without insurance as a result.
Insurance Council Chief Executive Kris Faafoi says this is partly down to an increase in natural disasters and weather events.
He says these increase reinsurance costs and premiums.
