Play is back underway on the Oakmont course at golf's US Open after a suspension due to rain

The leaders dropped shots early before beating a retreat to the clubhouse.

Sam Burns is two-under par overall, and now the only player better than the card.

Playing partner Adam Scott is two strokes back at even par through eight holes and could be about to drop more after needing relief from a boggy path.

Ryan Fox has carded a one-under par 69, placing him seven-over overall in a share of 22nd for now.
