A heavy police presence in Christchurch's Parklands, after a serious incident left one person critically injured

Police were called to a property on Lamorna Road just before 8 last night.

One person was taken into custody, while another was found suffering critical injuries.

They say while Lamorna Road residents will see an ongoing police presence in the area, police want to reassure them there's no risk to the wider community.
