Travis Kelce has joked that he's put on weight because of Taylor Swift's baking

The 36-year-old sports star recently fell off a chair while filming a podcast episode, and Travis has now jokingly suggested that Taylor's love of sourdough bread is to blame for the mishap.

Travis - who is currently enjoying some downtime after his Kansas City Chiefs team failed to make this year's Super Bowl - joked on the Not Gonna Lie With Kylie Kelce podcast: "Hi, I'm Travis Kelce, I'm Kylie Kelce's brother-in-law and I'm not going to lie, I broke Taylor's chair with the weight I gained from her sourdough. Good gut health, though."

In response, Kylie - who is married to Travis' brother and former NFL star Jason Kelce - simply said: "That's true love!"

Taylor - who announced her engagement to Travis in 2025 - previously confessed to having a baking "obsession".

The award-winning music star said on the New Heights podcast: "I have a different baking obsession every six months. Right now, we're very deep in a sourdough obsession."

She jokingly added: "Sourdough has taken over my life in a huge way. I am really talking about bread 60 percent of the time now. It's become a huge, huge factor."

Meanwhile, Jason recently urged Travis to "step away from the game for a little bit" before making a decision about his future.

The sports star is rumoured to be contemplating retirement from the NFL, but Jason encouraged his sibling to take his time before making a firm decision.

Jason - who also enjoyed a hugely successful career in the NFL, before announcing his retirement in 2024 - said on Monday Night Football: "I'm curious too.

"In my opinion, to nail that decision, you've got to step away from the game for a little bit."

Jason also encouraged his sibling to enjoy his last games of the season, before making a decision.

He said: "Play these last three games, enjoy them with your teammates, enjoy that with your coaches. The team's going to be different whether you come back or not next year. So, enjoy these last three games and then let it sink in. It'll come to you with time."
