    The early stages of a dream becoming reality for those advocating upgrades to Auckland's Stanley Street tennis centre


    Auckland Council has given 1.5-million dollars of funding to future-proof the annual ASB Classic tournaments.

    The total estimate for refurbishments - including a roof - is 15 million.

    Tennis Auckland boss Rohan West says a canopy will transform the fan experience.



    The initial investment boost will allow work to start.
