Air New Zealand fares continue to soar, some routes rising nearly 300-percent in five years

Consumer New Zealand compared 11 flights over the past two years, against equivalent destinations between 2019 and 2021.

All except one flight were more expensive -- rising between 34 percent and 297.

Consumer Chief Executive, Jon Duffy says increases weren't unexpected, in the current economic climate, but they were blown away by the actual figures for some flights.
