A 28-year-old man's been arrested and charged with murder following the killing of a former gang leader in Naenae two weeks ago

Albert Enoka was gunned down on Lower Hutt's Seddon Street on December 10, leading to a man-hunt.

Police now say they've found the alleged killer after executing a number of search warrants in Wairarapa.

He'll appear in court at a later date.
