There's fears footage of yesterday's anti-LGBTQ protests could incite further violence

There's fears footage of yesterday's anti-LGBTQ protests could incite further violence

People linked to Destiny Church stormed a children's drag event at a west Auckland library - where about 30 people had to be barricaded inside.

Later, police intervened when a group also disrupted Pride Parade festivities on Ponsonby Road with a haka.

The Parade's Event Manager Shaughan Woodcock says Brian Tamaki and Destiny Church need to learn the difference between freedom of speech and hate speech.

He says the community doesn't want to give Tamaki any more oxygen by sharing videos of the disruptions.
